This game feels like a prettier version of AoE2.

I've been playing these games since the original AoE (mythology being my favorite) and I have to say I am not impressed.
AGE OF EMPIRES STEAM BUILDING TRIGGERS UPGRADE
Remove it or make it a late imp tech to upgrade to. I can take or leave friendly fire, but the projectile tracking is horrificly bad. Like I'd understand if the TC gradually got better at defending as the ages went on, but being able to drop 10 or more No scope pros with gold camo on their intervention who can hit me outside of their max range because the bullet is actually a heat seeking missile? Pass. What's the point in even having a range when it's just going to fire shots outside. Like, don't tell me a TC has a maximum range of ten when it's shooting me outside that range. It then fires a last shot while i am just about to exit the TC's range, and some how the shot still hit me. I sent a scout to steal food from under an enemy TC, the TC then fires undogeable shots at you. If a mangonel fires a shot and I try to move out the way, the projectiles bend space and time to curve the shot to where ever i've moved my units too which makes absolutely no sense. Projectile tracking feels incredibly broken. Really enjoyed the game this weekend but I'm going to dump this everywhere in hopes that it's fixed for release. Otherwise I'll be spending my days back in AoE 1&2 where the strategy stays in the civ rather than my level. Long story short, I hope it isn't a means for people to gain special bonuses like special units or powers/upgrades. If it ends up to be something like AoE's Deck/Hometown stuff, it'll be an immediate deal breaker for me chief. If it ends up being for like cosmetic stuff, similar to the community challenges we already have. My other issue is the implication the levels and masteries. There isn't really any 'wow'-ness to it in the test, the graphics are definitely dated for being true 3d, enough so that I'd probably prefer what they did with Definitive 1&2 where it was still pixel art technically, if they were going to emulate another set of graphics. To get that one out of the way, the best way I could describe the game is Age of Mythology: Empires Edition. I only have two issues with the game as is, one of which isn't *really* an issues as much of a cautious disappointment. If you like AoE 1&2 or Mythology, you'll certainly enjoy this one. This is what I left on the review section, seemed to sum up my thoughts as best I could without going into the real nitty gritty.
